Singing From the Heart
Angela Peterson's New CD Has Spirit and Soul

The “Texas Cutie”, Angela Peterson, is on the move again with the release of her new CD, “My Future.” Produced in Dickinson, TX and available beginning February 20, 2003, Angela has been promoting her talent and hard work at both her regular local venues and recently at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Cook Off.
Angela believes this new CD will have something for everyone. With 16 songs, she tells us, “There is a little bit of everything…Country (of course) rockin' country, folk, soft rock, blues,” and a religious and patriotic tune which are both firsts for the rising star. The CD has a lot of promise to help boost her into country music’s ranks of notable talent. But it could also get her noticed by the mainstream music scene as well. Though Angela wouldn’t classify her music as “pop,” there is certainly a showing of abilities on this latest release that could be likened to the those of pop greats like Celine Dion or Whitney Houston. And yet her voice still has every bit of the strength and smoothness of equally talented women on the country scene. Among the best on the CD is “My Future,” the title track which Angela wrote herself along with four other songs.
This new CD definitely portrays Angela’s abilities better than the last one, “Beyond Our Control”, but still doesn’t compare to the energy of her live performances. Her musical range is broad, her voice impressive, and her stage presence nothing short of inviting. When you see her on stage, you just can’t help but be drawn into her sweet, alluring demeanor. And for those of us who have a hard time judging raw talent from a selection of songs we don’t already know, it helps to hear and compare her portrayal of cover songs that make the original artists seem like they don’t know a thing about music. Angela is definitely on the move again… and surely one step closer to the top.
“My Future” is available for purchase on Angela’s website at www.texascutie.com for $15.00. She has also updated her selection of merchandise with a new poster and some other photo mementos available through the same link. While you’re there, check out her schedule at one of the dates on her calendar while you can still get up close and personal. If you wait too long, you might miss out on the chance (or at least stand in a much longer line) to get one of her charming smiles, made just for you. And keep your eyes peeled for the CountryStyle, TX grand opening party. You never know who might be there.
